Finally a Crowne Plaza that has the right to call itself a five star hotel. The hotel is maintained very well and looks good because of that. The hotel doesn’t look very big from the outside, but this image changes once your inside. It was built in 1908, but is unfortunately for you as a guest closed in between busy roads. Because of this, your arrival to or departure from the hotel is not the easiest thing to do.
reception
Our reception was as it is supposed to be and the staff informs you well. The parking space was a minor point and you have to make sure that your well informed in advance. The hotel has got two entryways; this can cause some confusion when you are meeting someone at the entrance. So there are unfortunately a few things you should consider when visiting this hotel.
public areas
The public areas are very tidy and you can use the bar when you are in the lobby. Clearly this hotel has been rebuilt not long ago. Everything looks, partly because of the alterations made, very nice. From the elevators to the toilets, everything looks fine.
rooms
The rooms are very tidy, although they look a bit like factory rooms. We mean by this that the rooms are a typical standard for this concern. It must be said however, that the rooms are decorated calmly, so you don’t have to worry about that.
halls
There is exactly one hall in this hotel, but it is however a very large, beautiful and impressive hall. The hall can be divided exactly how you want it to be. The hall contains everything you need or can even think of. Further more the hotel has got a few small conference rooms, but that’s all they are, you cannot have a party or big conference there.
situation
The situation is rather good, because of the surrounding infrastructure, like the busy traffic square, can be reached easily. Another thing is that you are staying just outside the cultural centre of Brussels.
